WHY WE PLAY!

It's a fundraiser. Indigenous activism is under threat. Re-militrarization of indigenous communities in Guatemala has steadily increased since the signing of the Peace Accords that officially ended the 36 years of war and genocide that ravaged the country. The underlying causes of the war continue civil unrest. I will be stationed mainly in the Ixcan region of Guatemala for one year to monitor and report on crucial organizing by indigenous communities around environmental and civil rights. I just need $2,455 more! I'm going as a volunteer through a legitimate 501(c)3 that just doesn't have enough money for the program. THE STYLE
This is a friendly game of scrimmage/pick-up style soccer! If you want to make teams, Show up with the same colors on.

Genreal Admission: you play for fun and ALL your donation goes towards the cause
