The Mendieta Sisters at Old St. Hilary's Landmark
Old St. Hilarys welcomes the return of harpist Anna Maria Mendieta for a concert which includes her sisters: soprano Gloria Mendieta Gazave and Flamenco dancer Suzanne Mendieta. This lovely and dynamic program features music with a Spanish flare, incorporating stories and costumes of great women associated with Spanish, Mexican and Californian history. The music will include familiar favorites, as well as lesser known treasures from classical composers: (De Falla, Rodrigo, Albeniz), opera (Bizet's Carmen), musical theater (Man of La Mancha) and popular classics (Granada, El Vito).
