Skate with NRD - August 2018

Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to be one of the hard-hitting, fast-skating members of NOVA Roller Derby? Now's your chance to find out!

This event allows you to strap on some skates and learn the basics of roller derby in a low-pressure and fun environment. Learn from some of the best skaters in the league as they demonstrate skating form and the basic stops and falls that youll need to know. Havent been on skates since you were a kid? No problem; thats how a lot of us started!

Don't want to be a skater but still want to skate? You CAN skate with us! We are always looking for skating officials! Join the team that never loses and learn all the skills to ref with us. Start here.

Don't have skating gear? No problem? NOVA Roller Derby can loan you the following required items for this event! Sign up to borrow gear with your registration. We also know some great local vendors that provide Starter Set Packages with everything you need to get started. Proof of insurance, registration for event, and full gear is required for this event:

Quad Skates
Pads - Elbow, Knee and Wrist Guards
Helmet (not bicycle)
Mouthguard (you must provide your own)
