Guitarist Connie Sheu (Los Angeles) will present a night dedicated to contemporary and modern music for guitar by women composers, including seldom-heard works by Sofia Gubaidulina, Germaine Tailleferre, and Ida Presti, and more recent compositions by Clarice Assad; most recently, Sheu was chosen as one of the winners of Assad's call for guitarists to interpret a collection of upcoming compositions.
