WOMEN ROCK THE PHOENIX HOTEL
First Women Who Rock Concert Benefits Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation Saturday, June 14, 4-7pm at the Phoenix Hotel
San Francisco CA -- Rock out at the Phoenix Hotel for a great cause! The first Women Who Rock benefit concert, featuring the Kim Baker Band and Jennifer Daniels and emceed by comedienne Debi Durst, will be held Saturday, June 14 from 4-7pm, poolside at the Phoenix Hotel, 601 Eddy Street (at Larkin) in San Francisco. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC), an organization that provides safe and affordable housing and services to the Tenderloin's low-income residents.
Tickets for TNDCs Women Who Rock concert are $20, which includes a free entry into a raffle with fabulous prizes valued up to $1500 including in-home cooking lessons with a top chef. A limited number of tickets are available by calling TNDC, (415)358-3933.

With a singing and songwriting style compared to such greats as Melissa Etheridge and Chrissy Hynde, Kim Baker is a rising star with a considerable Bay Area following. She has played at venues such as the Great American Music Hall and The Fillmore and frequently tours throughout California. Baker long ago embraced the digital age as a way of staying in touch with her devoted fan base she was one of the first musicians to offer her music digitally online. Southern singer-songwriter Jennifer Daniels has established a strong reputation as a powerful performer with an incredibly strong voice and amazing guitar acumen. She has won several awards -- including Best New Female Artist in 2002 by FM Odyssey as well as Album of the Year for Dive and Fly. Jennifer's current album, Summer Filled Sky, was engineered and mixed by Rodney Mills, the legendary producer who has created gold and platinum albums for REM, Sheryl Crow, Pearl Jam and Greg Allman. Debi Durst Emcee
Debi Durst is a San Francisco native who bleeds black and orange for her San Francisco Giants! She is a talented and well-known comedienne who specializes in improvisational comedy. She is board president for San Franciscos unique Comedy Celebration Day and is the emcee for the annual San Francisco Cable Car Bell Ringing Contest. She is proud and honored to be a participant in anything that benefits TNDC.

About TNDC
Founded in 1981, TNDCs mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with support services for low-income people in the Tenderloin community and be a leader in making the neighborhood a better place to live. TNDC now owns and manages 25 buildings that provide homes for 2,500 extremely low-income seniors, families, people with disabilities, low-income wage earners, immigrants and others in the Tenderloin and nearby neighborhoods. In addition, TNDC provides on-site supportive services and resources such as social workers and after-school programs to help residents stabilize their lives and develop a sense of community.
