Utah Symphony in Concert
The Utah Symphony will thrill the Uintah Basin with a public concert on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 7pm in the VMS Auditorium, 721 W 100 S in Vernal, Utah. As part of their yearly educational tours to schools throughout the state, they have agreed to present this concert especially for all the public who are no longer in school.
Vladimir Kulenovic, Conductor will lead the orchestra in the following:
Handel: "La Réjouissance" from Music for the Royal Fireworks Delius: On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring Delius: Summer Night on the River Falla: "Ritual Fire Dance" from El amor brujo Fauré: Pavane Debussy: "Clair de Lune" from Suite Bergamasque Bartók: Rumanian Folk Dances Mendelssohn: The Hebrides Overture, op 26 - "Fingal's Cave" Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 4 in A Major, op. 90, "Italian"
The entire concert will be 90 minutes long, which includes a 20 minute intermission. Advance tickets are available in Vernal at Bitter Creek Books downtown or at the Western Heritage Museum @ Western Park. You will save $2 per ticket if you buy in advance anywhere other than at the box office, but the box office will open at the auditorium at 6pm and the auditorium doors will open at 6:30. Curtain time will be 7pm sharp.
