3 Girls, 2 Guys, and a Cabaret: Version 2.0
An evening of musical theatre with singers Ann Evans, Jessica Low, Jordan Melin, Natalie Moe, and Mark Rabe on piano.
This wildly popular cabaret returns with three members of the original cast and two talented new additions. Songs range from standards to contemporary musical theatre, and while the program includes many new songs, fans of the original group can look forward to a reprise of a few favorites!
About the Artists:
ANN EVANS (singer) - No stranger to cabaret, Ann has performed in New York City at Don't Tell Mama's, The Duplex and The Club. In Seattle, the drinking crowd has seen Ann at now defunct Thumper's, Velato's, Crepe de Paris, Egan's and many a corporate event. Her cabaret, "Take Flight" (a collaboration with Martin Charnin and her talented son) received a national presentation for NATS in Charlotte, NC. Ann also performed in cabaret style theatre pieces including Follies for Showtunes!, john & jen for Emerging Artists and Love is Love for Village Theatre. From summer stock to Off-Broadway some of her favorite roles include Anna in The King & I, Mona in Dames at Sea, Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, Kate in Taming of the Shrew, and Cinderella in The Cinderella Opera. She has recorded several albums, "Chamber Music", and one with her son, "Crossword". In addition to her performance career, Ann is a vocal coach and instructor teaching throughout the US. Her research, www.thebeltbook.com, is the only musical theatre searchable database in the country.
JESSICA LOW (singer) graduated from the University of Washington in 2003 with a BA in Drama and since then has been singing, dancing, choreographing, directing and teaching around the Puget Sound. Credits include Village Theatre, Sound Theatre Company, Seattle Musical Theatre, ArtsWest, Harlequin Productions, Capital Playhouse, Bainbridge Performing Arts and Coeur d' Alene Summer Theatre. Jessica is super excited to be revamping 3 Girls, 2 Guys and a Cabaret! Come play with us!
JORDAN MELIN (singer) - A graduate of Western Washington University, Jordan has a love for all theatre. Part of the experimental theatre company Blood Ensemble, Jordan recently finished up the Blood/Sailing project, in which he played one of his favorite roles, Mr. Clementine. Jordan is honored to share the stage with such a talented group of people!
NATALIE MOE (singer) - A graduate of Northwestern University's Musical Theatre program, Natalie is grateful to be working/playing in her hometown of Seattle and is especially thrilled to be working with this group! Favorite roles include Hope Langdon in Something's Afoot (Taproot Theatre) and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (Centerstage Theatre). Up next: Miss Mazeppa in Gypsy at Seattle Musical Theatre (April 26 - May 19, 2013).
MARK RABE (pianist, singer) has been playing - and occasionally singing - in the Seattle cabaret and music theatre world for more than 20 years (so he must've started at age 9!). Favorite venues include Seattle Children's Theatre, ACT Theatre, Seattle Rep, Cabaret Crepe de Paris (R.I.P.), Thumpers (R.I.P.), Civic Light Opera (R.I.P.) .... okay, Mark is OLD. "Come to the cabaret, OLD Chum!"
