KBOO COMMUNITY RADIO PRESENTS:Festival Express.
In the summer of 1970, a chartered train crossed Canada carrying some of the world's greatest rock bands. The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Band, Buddy Guy, and others lived (and partied) together for five days, stopping in major cities along the way to play live concerts. Their journey was filmed.
If you have never seen this film, then be prepared for previously unseen footage of some seriously fun parties on board the train (1970 people!), never before released concert footage and a moment in history captured on film.
The event is hosted by KBOO's Grateful Dead Collective and will feature an introduction by KBOO host Barbara Bernstein who was there!
