Bemidji Symphony Orchestra presents Summer Pops concert "Quiet Heroes"
The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra (BSO) presents their Summer Pops concert "Quiet Heroes" with guest narrator Wilford Brimley on Saturday evening, July 14, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Bemidji High School Auditorium. Dr. Beverly Everett conducts.
Chris Brubeck's symphonic salute to the flag raisers at Iwo Jima, narrated by Wilford Brimley. This patriotic performance includes Stars and Stripes, America the Beautiful, and Armed Forces Salute. Dr. Beverly Everett conducts.
Doors open for seating at 6:30 pm. In light of summer road construction activities near the Bemidji High School, audience members are advised to be aware of potential detours in that area and adjust their travel time accordingly.
Tickets are $10.00 for both adults and senior citizens. K-12 students are admitted free. Tickets are available at the door or in advance at Luekens Village Foods North and South or online at brownpapertickets.com. A free ticket to "Quiet Heroes" is included with the purchase of a $70 BSO Season Ticket, which will be available for purchase (with cash or check) at the door on the evening of the concert. They can also be purchased online with a credit card on the BSO website, www.bemidjisymphony.org. This concert is funded with a grant from the George W. Nielsen Foundation.
