Sacred Jazz! Will Todd's "Mass in Blue"
An "exuberant and electrifying mass for jazz ensemble, soprano, and choir, "Mass in Blue" was commissioned by Hertforshire Chorus in 2003.
This uplifting and innovative work is one of celebration, and weaves Todd's imaginative melodies with 12-bar blues and upbeat grooves in a hybrid style that has been described as "religious doctrine meets funk."
