Broadway to Bombay now in it's second year is uniting NYC, San Francisco, Toronto and Mumbai with an event of inclusivity for LGBTQIA and our families and allies.
Why Broadway to Bombay? There is a need to unleash those who are repressed in India and we have successfully begun to help the movement from NYC.
This interactive evening plans for an international audience congregating downtown under ambient music and lighting and swept into an evening of inspirational speakers and top-notch specialty dance performances, culminating into an all participatory flagging dance workshop. Broadway to Bombay, now in its 2nd year, has August 4th committed to LGBTQIA community building for our South Asian friends and family in the United States and India. Wine will be sold with south-asian themed music to set the mood. Opening remarks by Anthony Giorgio and Tommie Wherle. The Rogue Dancers will open the event followed by a mindfulness journey talk led by Dr. Deepak Kashyap from Mumbai. Camp and Vamp of Spiral Effect will make a surprise appearance to get audience pumped up for the flagging workshop lead by Mykel, creator of Flow and Flair. We will Instagram and Facebook Live the event for our friends in Toronto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington DC and India.
The evening includes-
Reception- 7 to 7:30 pm
Entertainment- The Rogue Dancers and Camp and Vamp from Spiral Effect
Guest Speaker- Dr. Deepak Kashyap from Toronto by way of Mumbai India
Flag Dance Workshop- Led by Mykel, creator of Flow and Flair
There will be Libations and Goodies!
