Event
Celestial Fire Band Live in Bradford plus Support from Daniel Day
Formed in 2015, after the release of multi instrumentalist leader Dave Bainbridges critically acclaimed album of the same name, Celestial Fires music is an emotive blend of ethereal, symphonic, progressive folk rock, featuring a stellar line up of musicians that are among the best on the scene.
Although also keys player for The Strawbs and current guitarist with Lifesigns, Dave is perhaps best know as the co-founder of the band Iona, who released 13 critically acclaimed albums, including Journey into the Morn (a Q Magazine top 5 album), which featured guests Moya Brennan and Robert Fripp. Ionas unique blend of Celtic progressive rock brought them many fans all over the world, including Rick Wakeman, who cited Iona as his favourite band.
Celestial Fire continues the path Dave began with Iona, combining exciting, yet deeply moving compositions with the crystalline, pure voice of former Lord of the Dance vocalist Sally Minnear. Live performances include music from Daves solo releases and the Iona catalogue. The bands debut album Celestial Fire Live in the UK (dvd/2cd - released April 2017), has been getting some incredible responses from fans and reviewers, as have their live performances.
Celestial Fire are: Dave Bainbridge Keyboards, guitars, bouzouki Sally Minnear Vocals, guitar, keyboard, percussion, vocal loops, recorder, whistle Dave Brons guitars, backing vocals, mandolin Simon Fitzpatrick Bass guitars, Moog Bass Frank Van Essen Drums, percussion, violin, backing vocals
An absolutely epic evening watching the Celestial Fire band play the most intricately beautiful music. Incredible musicians. Unmissable. Russ (UK)
Support for the evening comes from rising talent, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist Daniel Day.
