Anna Elizabeth James is a recent graduate of USC's School of Cinematic Arts and came to visual storytelling by studying classic literature. Utilizing her writing skills as a pathway to directing, Anna sold her romantic comedy, "I Do Over" to Skydance Productions (Mission Impossible, True Grit) last year and has directed numerous projects including a teen pilot, "Diary of a Teenage Nobody," with her Producing partner Katherine Hoagland. Since then the duo has been developing content under their newly created company, "Good Girls Pictures," with a goal of creating female driven content. While at USC Anna was chosen by her mentors and peers to direct a short film through the highly competitive production class, CTPR 546. The teen thriller, "Haven's Point," won Best Film at the Women of Cinematic Arts Film Festival. Known as a pioneer in the industry for her iOS/iPhone filmmaking and distribution methods, Anna has been featured in the "New York Times," "USA Today," as well as many other publications. She has spoken at TEDx, New York Apple Store, The Director's Guild of America, and The Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences, showcasing her films made on a dime. In addition to her liberal arts background Anna holds a B.A. in Journalism from Brigham Young University and is the mother of three children.
