Dan Weber, Avery Hill & Mary Anne "Aunt Mama" Moorman

One night, about 5 years ago, my friend Avery Hill and I conceived of a show we called the Front Porch. It would be a blend of our best songs and our favorite stories. Ultimately the Front Porch show morphed into a extensive month-long tour that rolled from town to town across the Midwest. We had a ton of fun on that tour. It was soulful, spontaneous, joyful and was as much of a conversation with the audience as it was a 'show.'

A few autumns ago, I met Mary Anne Moorman, aka Auntmama, an acclaimed storyteller extraordinaire from Seattle. Her storytelling show was fantastic. And when she said, "Every story I tell is better when it begins and ends with a song," the Stories We Could Tell show was born. A blend of timeless stories from 'Auntmama' plus more stories and songs from Avery and myself. It's the Front Porch show expanded--in a new and really exciting way.

The Stories We Could Tell show will be funny, captivating, heartwarming, and spontaneous--a one-of-a-kind event at Artichoke and a night to remember!
