Jazzy Flutes with SOA Flute Orchestra
Los Angeles based premier flute orchestra, Song of the Angels, is proud to present their annual jazz flute concert in La Crescenta on June 16th, 2018. This concert features recording artists with incredible jazz artistry including Ali Ryerson, Fred Selden, Massimo Sammi and David Shostac. The rhythm section features Bryan Pezzone on piano and John Leftwich on string bass.
Repertoire includes selections by J.S. Bach, Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, Benny Golson, Walter Gross, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Jim Repa, Spencer Williams and Victor Young.
This group features an amazing low flute section - the Roland Tso Posse - which includes the only F contrabass in the world, plus a double contrabass flute along with contrabass flutes and an F bass flute.
The SOA Flute Orchestra encourages all area flutists to join us in performing the closing number of the concert!
