ALTERNATIVE SOUNDS

ALTERNATIVE SOUNDS is the name of a Coventry music fanzine 1979 - 1981 created by Martin Bowes (ATTRITION).

The title 'Alternative Sounds' title has now been resurrected for a series of albums/events celebrating contemporary music of Coventry and Warwickshire - past, present and future.

This gig at Zephyr Lounge 29 September is the first live outing for Alternative Sounds.

Featuring bands/artists from 'Alternative Sounds Volume One' including Roddy Radiation - an original of The Specials, Satsangi - who have a new album this autumn, Crokodile Tears, and Jackdaw With Crowbar - a favourite of John Peel, who are lined up for a future Alt Sounds release. The line-up is completed by one of the best live band in the region Grassroutes and DJ Mr Binx.
