I Won't Dance: The Songs of Fred Astaire
Oil Lamp Theater is excited to partner with Great Age Productions in bringing daytime programming to our stage.
Singer/Pianist Bob Moreen pays glorious tribute to Fred Astaire and his music. Celebrated for his amazingly sophisticated dancing, Fred Astaire was also considered a top-notch singer. He introduced audiences to many hits from The Great American Songbook, including the brilliant music of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, the Gershwins, and more.
Presenter Bio:
Bob Moreen is a pianist and singer and is a 2007 recipient of the After Dark "Outstanding Cabaret Artist" award and the 2009 Cabaret Professionals "Lifetime Achievement" award. The Chicago Sun Times calls him "a special eclectic piano player." The Chicago Tribune describes him as the "quintessential cabaret singer-pianist."
