Ghost Army Chicago Fundraiser Screening
War, deception and art come together in Rick Beyer's new documentary THE GHOST ARMY, the astonishing true story of American G.I.s many of whom would go on to have illustrious careers in art, design and fashion who tricked the enemy with rubber tanks, sound effects, and carefully crafted illusions during the Second World War.
A limited number of tickers are available for a reception and sneak-preview screening of the film on Sunday, February 24, at 2 PM, at the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, 1431 W. Taylor St., Chicago. Advance tickets required.Proceeds go to defray costs of PBS broadcast of the film.
Enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres, followed by and Q&A with filmmaker Rick Beyer. Two Ghost Army veterans plan to be in attendance, and there will also be a display of Ghost Army art and artifacts.
