Dance Night w/ Trailer Park, Beige, & The Johnny Memphis Band
Trailer Park is a ten-legged rock and roll machine that has been traveling the highways of New England with a carload of saxophones since 1994, always having a good time. During those years theyve played barbeque music at over 1500 shows- sleazy bars, nice clubs, weddings, bar mitzvahs, county fairs, festivals, pig roasts, you name it. They've had the good fortune to open for some great acts like NRBQ, Rat Dog, WAR, Little Feat, and Los Lobos, and even played two shows as Bo Diddley's backing band.
Trailer Park has released 6 albums, and would have released more if they werent so lazy.
Put on your comfortable clothes and lets dance the night away.
Local Ska dance band Beige consists of Trombone, Sax, Trumpet, vibes, bass, drums and guitar;
Based on the early 1960's work of the Skatalites. Singer Steve Westfield has toured the US and Europe with his projects the Pajama Slave Dancers and The Slow Band. Beige played at the Green River Festival last year.
"Beige is the unpredictable all-star ska octet fronted by Pajama Slave Dancer and Slow Band leader Steve Westfield. Theyll make you dance even while they mess with your mind. Plus theres a horn section, percussion and toasting all the ingredients one needs for a good sweaty foot-twisting time". Hamphire Valley Gazzette
With the Johnny Memphis Band you never know what is coming next- Celtic mambo, rockabilly, New Orleans funk, 60s pop, 20s swing, Memphis soul, Irish reels, zydeco, indie rock, a country waltz, jump blues, Western Mass polka or French Café music. What you do know is that there will be a dance groove and the band will be having at least as good a time as the audience. This is music for dancing and singing, hand-claps and swinging.
