Women's Drum Center 2018 Annual Benefit Concert and Silent Auction...
"Heartbeat of the World" celebrates the simple truth that no matter where you travel on this vast planet you will find drums. Drumming heals, energizes, relaxes and builds communities.
The concert will once again be presented on the campus of Augsburg College in Sateren Auditorium.The music begins at 7:00 with guest artist Karin Rau performing music on the gyil the west African Marimba. Taikollaborative will add their high energy taiko performance to the evening, and drumHeart, the performance ensemble of the Womens Drum Center, will be featured. Additional groups include the djoyful djunns, grooveHeart, the West African ensemble, and Women Who Groove.
