Maestro René Heredia presents Una Noche de Flamenco, one of the finest flamenco shows of Gypsy music and dance featuring his Flamenco Fantasy Dance Theatre, the premiere flamenco dance company of Colorado.
Before he plays a single note, Maestro Heredia gives a brief history of the origin of each song or dance about to be performed. Dancers then interpret these tales with a blend of light, graceful arm movements, syncopated hand-clapping, powerful, synchronized foot work and individual flare.
In one number, the company performs Farruca, Heredias original composition which celebrates the gypsy character with its fiery rhythm accentuated by the Tacon (heel-stomping) and snapping fingers.
Comprised of Denvers best dancers and award-winning guitarist, Artistic Director, and Godfather of Flamenco Maestro René Heredia, their performances convey the mystery, emotion and soul of authentic gypsy flamenco.

Maestro René Heredia is from Granada, Spain and is a direct descendant of the gitano flamenco puro tradition as passed down to him by generations of his gypsy family.
He has performed with the greatest flamenco artists of his time including Carlos Montoya, Carmen Amaya, Sabicas, José Greco, Paco de Lucia, and many others.
As a performer, teacher, choreographer, mentor, and recording artist, René Heredia is credited with bringing flamenco to Colorado and has received numerous awards, including the Governors and Mayors Awards for Excellence in the Arts.
