Singer MARILYN DEERING headlines in "IT HAD TO BE YOU: Songs of Life & Love" --a cabaret journey that starts with her teen-angst years in the Midwest (where she developed a passion for Rock operas like "Tommy" and "Jesus Christ Superstar") through bible camp, college, and many other forms of education. Using tunes from the great American Songbook ("The Man I Love", the title track -and more) Deering swings high and torches through the wins and losses of her greatest love. Accompanied by her Musical Director, Pianoman VICTOR JANUSZ and Saxophonist MEDEARIS "MD" DIXSON" (VJ DUO will open the night with a spirited set themselves) "IT HAD TO BE YOU...." offers a variety of songstyles and true stories to inspire cabaret lovers!
