2008 Milwaukee 48 Hour Film Event
The 48 Hour Film Project is a film competition where teams of filmmakers write, shoot, edit and score a film in two days.
This event is unique because on Friday, June 20th each team finds out the genre of their film when they randomly select it from a predetermined list, plus each team is given a character, prop, and line of dialogue that they must all incorporate into their films.
On Sunday, June 22nd all weary-eyed filmmakers race to the finish line to submit their film by the 7:30 pm deadline. No exceptions!! No amount of crying, pleading or death threats will soften the heart of the Milwaukee Producer.
On June 25th, all films will be viewed on the big screen in front of a packed house. Three judges will vote on which film deserves the honor of "Best of Milwaukee" film, while the audience will vote for their favorite choice.
This is a competition that is exciting, exhilarating, frustrating, exhausting but entirely pure fun!
