Becoming Fools - Omaha Film Festival
Professional clown, Italo Castro, risked his life going to the streets of Guatemala City at night to care for street youth. After Italo's tragic drowning in 2011, his colleagues rallied together to continue his dream of starting a clown school for street youth and inspired a movement. Becoming Fools tells the story of professional entertainers uniting with drug addicted street youth as they prepare to perform a grand theatrical event. In the process, this unlikely group of performers is able to reconnect with their stolen youth and find hope of a life beyond the addiction and isolation of life on the streets.
