Renaissance City Choir Pride Concert 2018: Joined by Heart - Love Will Always Win
Together nothing is impossible. Communities throughout time have realized that by coming together they can change the world. As we walk through our day, or sing through our concert, or march the streets of our city, we must remember the power that we have when we are joined by heart. With this concert, we especially honor our transgender, gender-queer, gender non-binary, and two-spirit family members, who help to teach us that there are more colors in our crayon box than just pink and blue. Love will always win against hate and fear. One of our musical selections will be the premiere of a piece by David P. Goldstein titled Im Not What They Asked For, a setting of the poetic words of Marce, that describes Marces experiences of coming out as a transgender female. Some of the other pieces on the concert will be, Rainbow Connection, Beautiful, Melissa Ethridges Pulse, the Pentatonixs Sing and Imagine, and Love Will Keep Us Together.
Concert will be outside in the East Liberty Presbyterian Courtyard or in the ELPC Social Hall if it rains.
