Arc Iris is Jocie Adams (piano, guitar, clarinet, vocals), Robin Ryczek (cello), Zachary Milton Tenorio-Miller (keyboards), Mike Irwin (trumpet), Charlie Rose (pedal steel, banjo, trombone, and other toys), Ray Belli (drums), Max Johnson (bass), and Martha Guenther, Layton Guenther & Laura Cortese (angels singing).
Accompanied by lush trumpet, pedal steel, piano, and guitar arrangements, Jocie Adams' songs wind the audience through the pages of an anthology of fairy tales. The singing is strange and beautiful. The music is enchanting and whimsical.
Jocie's album, "Bed of Notions," is a diamond in the rough in the libraries of musicians around the world. Her unique style has been described by Rolling Stone as "demonstrating how to play without replicating, how to pay tribute without ripping off, and how to honor something old by making it something new."
