The Lotte Anker Trio presented by New Music Circle
Danish saxophonist and composer Lotte Anker has struck a musical chord in her ongoing trio with renowned pianist Craig Taborn and relentless drummer Gerald Cleaver, having produced several albums with them as well as extensive tours. Best known for an intense yet almost meditational sense of playing, Anker's trio showcases her as one of the strongest improvisers in the field - crafting a voice unique in its ability to create long-form sonic gestures, almost painterly in nature, with the immense detail and movement that touches on the best of avant-garde jazz traditions.
