Bruce Forman Concert
The San Luis Obispo County Jazz Federation will present master jazz guitarist Bruce Forman, in a solo and a trio setting, on Saturday, May 12, at 7:30 pm at Unity Concert Hall in SLO. Forman is widely considered to be one of the foremost jazz guitarists in the world today. He will present his highly acclaimed The Red Guitar, a jazz libretto and a perspective into the life of a musician and the creative process. With great musical virtuosity and storytelling skills, Formans presentation becomes a history of jazz guitar, but much more. Forman will also perform in a trio setting with Dylan Johnson on bass and Darrell Voss on drums. Unity is located at 1130 Orcutt Road in SLO. Doors will open at 7 pm for the 7:30 concert.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for Jazz Fed members and $10 for students. They can be purchased at Boo Boo Records in SLO or online through BrownPaperTickets.com. For further information, see www.slojazz.com or call 546-3733.
