Second installment of Roedde House's Jazz Series:

A Tribute to Bill Evans - Featuring Tristan Paxton (guitar) and Daniel Reynolds (piano)

Bill Evans was an American jazz pianist and composer who is widely considered to be one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time, and is considered by some to have been the most influential post-World War II jazz pianist.
Tristan Paxton and Daniel Reynolds will include original music written for Bill Evans and/or inspired by his music.

Tristan Paxton grew up in Vancouver but studied at McGill in Montreal and performed and traveled as part of the McGill big band.

Daniel Reynolds: Born in Vancouver, Daniel has studied at McGill under Jan Jarczyk, and taken private instruction with Chet Doxas. Dan has participated in master class performance and workshop sessions in Vancouver, Banff and Ottawa, as well as amassed an impressive resume of solo and ensemble performances in Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver. He is a developing talent in jazz composition, aspiring to express the beauty of nature through music. He is a 2012 recipient of the Oscar Peterson Grant for Jazz Performance.

This concert is part of a monthly concert series, taking place every second Thursday at 7pm.

There are 4 available spots, designated as "Roedde House Museum Guests", on a private parking lot at the back of the house (alongside Broughton St).

Other options include the parking lot at the Empire Landmark Hotel (Robson & Broughton) or street parking on Robson and in the West End.

Parking spots are scarce in the neighbourhood, so give yourself some extra time or use public transportation. (Closest Skytrain station: Burrard. We are on the #5 Robson bus route)
