"Women of Vision" - A Contemporary Solo Piano Concert Featuring Liz Story, Kori Linae Carothers, and Lisa Downing

This unforgettable evening of solo piano performances will feature multiple Grammy Award Nominee Liz Story, Kori Linae Carothers, and Lisa Downing - all three artists are winners of numerous International Awards, and all have recorded with Windham Hill founder, Will Ackerman at his world famous Imaginary Road studio in Vermont.

Pianist-composer, Liz Story is one of the pioneers contemporary solo piano on the now famous Windham Hill label. She began her musical training as a young child, mastering Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 11 by the age of 11. When her family moved to Germany during her teens, she added languages, philosophy, and poetry to her studies. She was classically trained, studying music at Hunter College and Juilliard in New York City. Her musical vision of "Angular Harmonies" defies traditional description and has inspired countless musicians since her debut album "Solid Colors" was released in 1983. In the following decades, Liz has delighted countless audiences with her unique performance style. With a dozen albums to her credit, her works cross many musical genres and paint a spectacular musical panorama.

Kori Carothers' saga is filled with a love affair for music. Kori is, without question a brilliant pianist and composer. What sets her apart, however, is the broad range of styles she utilizes so gracefully. Kori moves between the worlds of achingly beautiful acoustic piano composition and lavish keyboard production with remarkable ease. She paints a dramatic musical canvas layering strings vocals and washes underneath her passionate piano melodies. Kori began composing music at the age of 14, and recorded her first songs two years later. Kori's third album "Trillium" was nominated for ZMR Album of the Year, and was recorded at Imaginary Road Studio with legendary Windham Hill producer Will Ackerman.

Lisa Downing is a multiple award winning, international concert pianist who is re-defining the genre of solo piano. Lisa's releases include "A Delicate Balance," #4 in the world for New Age Radio Airplay, and "Christmas for Two," winner of ZMR Holiday Album of the Year. As Lisa performs her heartfelt and technically impressive original compositions, your soul will be touched, your memories revived and your deepest thoughts can be heard. Lisa is a compelling storyteller and her audiences are simply entranced as she shares the inspiration for her piano compositions and performs the intense music that illustrates events from our everyday lives.
