St. Cinder
Return performance. Special Private Show inside, limited to 30 seats, cover charge is $10 at the door.
It was truly a fortuitous day when five traveling musicians met by chance in the small southern Oregon town of Ashland. Any contentious effort to find commonality died upon introductions, the boys fit together seamlessly, and the brotherhood shows in the music. St. Cinder share a love of traditional American music from the 20s, 30s and 40s. From folk to early blues and jazz, the classic sounds and styles of the time pour from the instruments and the presentation.

Colton Ort - Vocals/Harps/Bones - His life began in Indiana.

Alex Jones - Mandolin - Central Texas bred, raised by the longhorn, and revered by all his children, Pappy Jones has come from far and seen all the rest. Endless hours of nimble finger work shine through the Dobro mandolin, and at a mere 21 years he has already mastered, mid performance, the conjuring of long dead artists and musicians who's specters he controls with the dancing of the strings.

Jonathan Ratliff - Guitar/Clarinet/Vocals - The man from Long Island found only in the company of the finest stories and wines, has a bottomless bag of tricks. The Olive Jalopy plays the guitar and plays it well. Plays the clarinet and plays it well. Plays the pen and paper like a cat on a fence and can sing all the while. Years of performing for royalty and peasants, presidents and the most lovable of human refuse has sunk into a sound rivaled by no mortal.

Cody Meyocks - Banjo/Violin - The legendary Giant of Old Oregon has escaped the pages of lore and taken the stage. Widely known as a myth in the greater Oregon area, "Big" Cody Meyocks brushes aside the ooo's and ahhh's that follow him everywhere. At the end of the night, the only legend left is the twang and tenor of the banjo and the shine of the sharpest dressed giant in the world.

Dagan Bartholemew - Kick/Washboard/Bells and Blocks - From box cars in Pennsylvania to every mile of the Oregon Trail, chances are you've met the heartbeat of St. Cinders Vagabond sound. The Bartholomew's steam powered prosthetic leg jumps in tandem with the freight train around his neck, and boasting the biggest washboard kit this side of the Mississippi, he's the envy of every jug, bluegrass and folk band in the world.
