Sinne Eeg - Danish Vocal Jazz Sensation
A rare chance to hear Copenhagen's Sinne Eeg during a short visit to California!
Sinne Eeg's distinctive vocals have earned her a loyal and rapidly growing fan base in her native country of Denmark and around the world. Considered the preeminent jazz vocalist in Scandinavia, Sinne has already made her mark in Japan, China, and throughout Europe with her exquisite live performances and award-winning studio recordings. FACE THE MUSIC, released in 2014, earned her the Danish Music Award (Denmark's Grammy) for Best Jazz Vocal CD, along with the Ben Webster Prize (for which Sinne was the sole female recipient for the last 30 years), and the Prix du Jazz, awarded by Frances Academie du Jazz.
She will be accompanied by Southern California's A-list jazz musicians including saxophonist Roger Neumann (Woddy Herman, Anita O'Day), guitarist Larry Koonse (Billy Childs, Mel Torme), pianist Christian Jacob (Tierney Sutton, Maynard Ferguson, composer for the film "Sully"), bassist Katie Thiroux (Patti Austin, Eric Reed), and drummer Matt Witek (John Pizzarelli, Justin Kauflin).
