Home Concert at a Beautiful Modern House

Violinist Jessica Haddy and pianist/composer Kevin Weed will be performing at a private home in the city of Orange. Jessica Haddy is an accomplished violinist well known in the Laguna Beach area. She is the concertmaster of the Southern California Philharmonic. The featured work will be Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor, Opus 26, arranged for piano and violin. The remainder of the program will be finalized soon, and will include a number of piano and violin works.

This concert will be held at a private home in Orange with a beautiful performance space. It is a mid-century modern home built by acclaimed builder Joseph Eichler. Eichler is famous for his tracts of modern homes in California built in the 1950's and '60's, which are warm, inviting, and flooded with light. The Bruch Violin Concerto is considered one of the top 3 in the repertoire (Bruch, Beethoven, and Brahms) and is much beloved around the world. Now we can enjoy it within a beautiful private home!

The doors will open at 6:30 and the concert will begin at 7:00. For those interested, there will be a walking tour of the neighborhood with Laguna Friends of Architecture, starting at 6:00.
