The Mystic Trumpeter
On Sunday, March 18, 2018 two renowned collegiate choral programs will join forces for what is sure to be a remarkable performance. The William Jewell College Concert Choir conducted by Anthony J. Maglione and the New England Conservatory Chamber Singers conducted by Erica J. Washburn will offer a program of beautiful choral works by Mealor, Rachmaninoff, Boulanger, Sanlikol, Gardiner, and many others. On the second half of the program, the choirs will combine to perform Anthony Magliones cantata setting of Walt Whitmans poem The Mystic Trumpeter featuring renowned trumpet soloist Randolph Lee of the University of Florida. Joining the combined forces will be William Jewell Colleges fine organist, Ann Marie Rigler, fabulous vocal soloists Kayleigh Aytes, Jay Carter, and Ron Witzke as well as professional brass and percussionists from the greater Kansas City area.
