Sit Back and Relax
Sit Back and Relax brings lyric-driven folk-blues with a wink and a smile. And some great harmonies.
Ten years ago, Portland songwriter Steve Greenwood and guitarist Dave Rozell formed Sit Back and Relax to bring a bigger sound to Greenwood's lyrics and catchy tunes. With the more recent additions of talented vocalist Tina Izen and bassist Andy Ginsburg from the Portland band Red Shoes, they have delighted crowds with their fun and lyrically sophisticated music. The vocal back-and-forth between Greenwood and Izen, reminiscent of Delaney and Bonnie, brings a punch to the humor and pathos of Greenwood's songs.
Their recently released self-titled CD has won them new fans in Europe and the U.S. and songs from the new lp will be featured at their March 3 benefit performance for Artichoke
