Bill MacKay (Chicago, Drag City), Matt Baldwin, Golden Gram
Bill MacKay is a musician and a musicians friend a genial guitarist/composer/improviser based in Chicago who has energized the experimental folk, rock and avant scenes around town with his polyglot approach to the guitar, combining the folk of Appalachia, the blues and gospel with rock, jazz, western-country and an array of eastern modes. Mackays interest in this tactic essentially, a personal blending of roots elements has evidence itself throughout his discography. On Esker, his third solo work and his Drag City debut, Bill takes it further with an album of all-original material performed entirely in consort with himself. Playing all the parts with guitars, glass slide, bass, piano and percussion, he deepens his hybrid-genre approach with both contrast and cohesion, creating warm, melodic narratives that draw on folk, psych and experimental rock modes.

GOLDEN GRAM
Graham LeBron is an American musician, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and film composer from Oakland, CA. A multi-instrumentalist formerly of Rogue Wave, Port OBrien and The Album Leaf, he is also an accomplished DJ and recording engineer. In 2013, he scored the independent feature length film, Im obsessed with you (but youve got to leave me alone). The film debuted at the Sonoma Independent Film Festival in April 2014. He is currently at work on several recording projects for his record label, Outer Sound, including the third Golden Gram album. He plays drums with Outer Embassy (members of Daring Ear, Extra Classic) and is a touring member of Easysound Recording Artist, Fruit Bats.
