OAKLAND BAY AREA COMMUNITY CHORUS "SING INTO SPRING" Annual SPRING CONCERT
Come join the Oakland Bay Area Community Chorus in a spirit filled celebration, "SING INTO SPRING". This multicultural concert chorus sings African American Spirituals and gospel selections. William "Bill" Bell, continues to showcase his love of choral music by programing "THE BATTLE OF JERICO" and "GOD'S GONNA SET THIS WORLD ON FIRE", arranged by Moses Hogan and "I WILL NEVER TURN BACK" by R. Nathaniel Dett along with contemporary gospel selections, including "HALLELUJAH" from Handel's Messiah: A SOULFUL CELEBRATION.
The mission of OBACC to preserve the African American spiritual by performance will be accomplished at this concert.
Chorus director,Bill Bell, has taught numerous students through out his long tenure as a teacher and mentor to numerous singers,jazz musicians and music lovers in the SF Bay Area. Many also know Bill as an acclaimed jazz pianist.
