Peter Aglinskas: Jackson Series Performance
This is a special event, one night only. It's part of the new Dunes Summer Theatre Jackson Series.
Tapping into his vast repertoire of jazz, bossa nova, soul, Latin, classic 50s, 60s, & 70s, as well as traditional Spanish and flamenco, this performance will feature Peters original solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements from his CDs Sepia Session and South Shore Soul.
Building on the legacy of guitarists such as Laurindo Almeida and Charlie Byrd, Peter Aglinskas infuses his music with elements from the contemporary worlds of jazz, funk and rock, with technique firmly rooted in the classical music tradition. Recipient of the Chicago Cultural Departments Artists International Award, Peter Aglinskas has been delighting audiences for more than three decades with his signature guitar style.
