Church of Beethoven March 2018 Concert - Kim Jones, soprano

Church of Beethoven welcomes lyric soprano Kim Jones, alumna of The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center, in a program entitled "Music of Love and Faith."

Kim is joined by pianist Luciano Laurentiu for a program of arias and songs spanning many eras of classical music. Works by Bach, Handel, Fauré, Schubert, in addition to selections from "Showboat," "Porgy and Bess," and "West Side Story" create a program perfect for Open Door Theater's intimate setting.

Jones was acclaimed by John von Rhein of the Chicago Tribune for her performance in THE FAIRY QUEEN (November 2016) as "the most musically successful of the seven principal singers, lofting a bright, alluring soprano into the Purcellian stratosphere in each of her selections."
