Sight & Sound: House Show
Coastland Commons presents an intimate evening where visual art and song come into conversation with one another through the context of a living room.
The show will begin at 6:30pm with a living room gallery featuring the art of Shannon Sigler and Linsey Schoeneman. You are invited to come, have a drink and some small bites while viewing the art and mingling with the artists and others.
At 7:30pm we will transition into a concert and will feature the songwriting of John Van Deusen and Carl-Eric Tangen. After the show, we will host a short panel discussion and Q&A with all four artists around the intersection of sound and visual forms of art and artmaking.

Lindsey Schoeneman is a visual artist, art therapist, and mental health counselor based in Seattle, Washington. She is a graduate of Antioch University Seattle with an MA in Counseling and Art Therapy; she earned her BFA in Photography and BA in French Studies from the University of Washington. Lindsey approaches creative expression as a practice in curiosity, intuition, self-confrontation, and as a conduit for compassion and empathy. Her practice in both art and counseling motivate her spirit and guide her engagement in social and ecological justice efforts.
Lindsey's work explores the reflective metaphors exchanged between psychological spaces and the external natural world. She believes in the experience of aliveness as landscape, as weather, as moments of the moon, as wakeful and unconscious, and as dynamic encounters with paradox. Her work is an effort to illuminate the mysterious, the nuanced, the nebulous, the intangiblethe living of a life that asks us to embody the complexity of existence, remaining open to what we do not know and what we cannot hold onto.

Shannon Sigler is a visual artist, theologian, and arts administrator. She is Director of Fuller Seminary's Cascadia Worship & Arts initiative, and has a passion for mentoring artists and building bridges between art and church communities. Her artworks and group installations address the ebb and flow of the personal and communal - whether this intersection is between family members, church communities, or other group and individual associations. Story and memory are important in shaping identity, and a sense of play is formative in how we view ourselves and our relationships. Her work is influenced conceptually by explorations in family life, vocational roles, and investigations in theological aesthetics. Shannon lives in Seattle with her husband, Matt, and son, Elijah, and divides her time unequally between the office, the playground, and the art studio.
