Transept: "Be Still My Soul"
Transept is a vocal ensemble that interweaves music for vocal consort, soloists, and choir to draw audiences into an intimate, meaningful journey. This is an exciting and talented new choir in the region, founded and directed by Dr. Timothy Campbell. The ensemble performed a beautiful Christmas concert at the Cathedral last December, and appears twice in this years Sacred Arts Series. This first performance of Lenten meditations will feature music of Sibelius, Brahms, and others, as well as Tomas Luis de Victorias setting of the Lamentations of Jeremiah.
