Tango Shalom 
Metropolitan Playhouse is pleased to welcome back Sephardic singer Nicole Murad and veteran Uruguayan-American pianist, conductor and composer Pablo Zinger in a joyful concert of Jewish music and culture through songs in Ladino  the Spanish Jewish dialect  Yiddish  the German Jewish dialect  English and Spanish.
  Featuring songs in Yiddish, Ladino, Polish, French, English and Hebrew, Tango Shalom includes tangos by such composers as Benzion Wittler, Jerzy Petersburski, Artur and Henryk Gold, Enrico Macias and Leonard Bernstein, as well as Sephardic classics re-interpreted through a tango sensibility, and songs from the golden era of Yiddish culture in New York City, including favorites made famous by such stars as Molly Picon and Fanny Brice.

  NICOLE MURAD is a dulcet- toned, classically trained singer who traces her Sephardic lineage back to 1492 Toledo. She has researched and performed the Ladino repertoire extensively. PABLO ZINGER is a veteran Uruguayan-American pianist, conductor and composer and renowned expert on Spanish and Latin American music. His parents left Galizia (Poland-Ukraine) for South America in 1939
