Best of the Northwest
Best of the Northwest - features the critically-acclaimed Portland Vocal Consort, conducted by Ryan Heller, in a program of modern choral compositions by some of the Northwest's marquee classical music composers, including Joan Szymko, Karen Thomas, Greg Bartholomew and distinguished composer Robert Kyr. "To champion not only new music but also local artists is a big part of my passion with Portland Vocal Consort," says artistic director Ryan Heller. "The northwest is such a hotbed for excellent choral music, and there's an abundance of great work going on here. We need to champion that as best as we can."
