Promises & Interludes
The Dream Songs Project's Sixth Annual Concerts of New Music for Voice and Guitar. This year's edition features a world premiere performance of Craig Carnahan's song cycle, Promises and Interludes, songs by Toshio Hosokawa, a scena by Mark Weiser, and a revisit of our first commission from 2012, Daniel Nass's Songs of Cowboys and Hobos.

Formed in 2010 by mezzo-soprano Alyssa Anderson and guitarist Joseph Spoelstra, The Dream Songs Project has performed in venues throughout the Midwest. The duo programs a wide range of repertoire, including guitar transcriptions of lute songs and opera arias, classical and romantic art songs written for the instrument, with a special focus on newly created music.

This activity is funded, in part, by appropriations from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State's general fund, and its arts and cultural heritage fund that was created by a vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
