McKinley James at the Ale House
McKinley James is only 16 years old... but he plays guitar well beyond his years.
The last time we saw him he was commanding the stage as the opener for JD McPherson at the Hangar. Since then he has appeared with Eric Church. Church hand picked James to appear in the video and on the album cover for "Mr. Misunderstood" because he felt James was the embodiment of the title track. While his class mates listen to top 40 radio, McKinley is studying vinyl, sighting Eddie Angel, Bo Diddley, and Freddie King as some of his favorites.
McKinley James will be joined by JD McPherson Band's Jason Smay on drums, and Ray Jacildo on keys.
