Bob Milne will once again perform a ragtime piano concert at the Blaine Performing Arts Center on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 7:30 pm. In a concert that will be full of toe-tapping music and interesting anecdotes about the musicians of the ragtime/boogie woogie era, Bob will entertain and dazzle us with his unparalleled musical skills.
Bob plays the piano by ear and can play any tune after hearing it only once. He tells you about the music as he plays and leads you on a tour through the early to mid-1900's and the music that was heard throughout the country during that time. Designated a National Treasure by the United State Library of Congress, Bob has played in concerts all over the world and entertained U.S. presidents as well as foreign dignitaries. Residing in Lapeer, Michigan, Bob visits the Pacific Northwest once each spring, and this will be his third year to do a benefit concert to support future improvements of the Blaine Public Library. Hosted by the Friends of the Blaine Library, Bob will share his musical talent with us in an evening that is not to be missed.
