Sfyria Trio is a free-improvising band comprised of Sam Decker on saxophone,CharlieKirchen on bass, and Matt Carroll on drums. The group constructs music out of fragmentary melodic motifs and the wide timbral affordances of each instrument, resulting in moody, delicately textured improvisations that navigate a variety of sonic worlds.
