Indy-based Scott Routenberg Trio, just released their debut album "Every End is a Beginning" (March 10, 2017)on Grammy-winning record label Summit Records. The trio performs Routenberg's award-winning compositions, Brazilian jazz, and fresh interpretations of the standard repertoire.As dedicated jazz educators, Scott Routenberg and Nick Tucker serve on the Jazz Faculty of Ball State University's School of Music, where Dr. Routenberg is currently Assistant Professor of Jazz Piano. Nick Tucker is house bassist for the American Pianists Association Jazz Piano Competition. Kenny Phelps toured with Dee Dee Bridgewater and owns Owl Music Studios record label in Indianapolis).

Scott Routenberg is an award-winning jazz pianist, composer, arranger and leader. They have performed at Indy Jazz Fest 2015 and 2016, The Green Mill (Chicago), The Jazz Kitchen (Indy), The Palladiums New Years Eve Extravaganza (Carmel, IN) and opened for jazz guitar legend John Scofield on his recent Country for Old Men tour. Future performances include The Velvet Note in Atlanta, Georgia (Georgias #1 Jazz Club) and Indy Jazz Fest 2017. The Scott Routenberg Trio can also be heard on the album 2016 Indy Jazz Fest Block Party: Live From the Jazz Kitchen (Indyblue Entertainment, 2017).Scott is the 2004 winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contests Maxell Song of the Year and the 2016 ASCAP Foundation/Symphonic Jazz Orchestra Commissioning Prize, among many other awards and honors. For two years he arranged for the Grammy-winning Metropole Orkest and Vince Mendoza. He is a student of Brazilian jazz piano legend Manfredo Fest (Sergio Mendes/Brazil 66) and Vince Maggio (student of Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans roommate).
