The Skin a Howard Allen Film
"A hauntingly entertaining Caribbean tale"
The Skin is set in Antigua & Barbuda and is based on Caribbean Mythology. Tales of the supernatural have been told throughout the islands as Jumbie stories (or as we say in Antigua Joombee stories) however The Skin takes a modern approach the traditional storytelling. Popular Antiguan music and vintage calypsos form an integral part of the story
The Skin stars Caribbean film icon Carl Bradshaw who is best known for his work in Caribbean films such as Harder They Come, The Lunatic, Dancehall Queen, and Third World Cop. Antiguan actors, Aisha Ralph, Brent Simon and Veron Stoute Humphreys are ably supported by UK actor Jeff Stewart (The Bill) and Peter Williams (Stargate SG1)
The film is written and directed by Antiguan filmmaker Howard Allen. This is his fourth feature film and bit of a departure from his first feature film The Sweetest Mango (2001) a romantic comedy.
