SATURDAY PERFORMANCE: The time has come to speak of several things! Performance and enjoyment, shared music and excitement are near. We're looking for a grand welcome in San Ramon, our first visit to the beautiful Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center. We want your help to fill this theater to the rafters. Please think of friends and associates who would be better off for hearing us play
Our players come from all over California, from all over the country to share this annual celebration, to play by heart. The dark and joyful music of Alasdair Fraser's inspired solo fiddle along with the full band of 117 musicians captures the essence of springtime. The massed ranks of fiddles are joined by cellos, guitars, drums, harps, flutes, basses, piano, and bagpipes. We spent the summer absorbing the music; spent the winter distilling the arrangements and composing harmonies; and invite you to share our very best work.
Come with us on a musical journey across the world of fiddle music from northern California to far Quebec, and on to Ireland and Scotland, the Shetland Islands and greater Scandinavia.

"...a raucous, extemporaneous sampling of authentic music from the highlands and islands of Scotland. . . . no delayed standing ovation here; the audience instantaneously rose to its feet with the piece's final notes." - Anchorage Daily News
